The Club has a wonderful par 67, 4466 metre (4883 yard) course. But don't let the low par and short distance fool you. Its quirky undulations and steep fairways make it a true test. Souillac's slope (difficulty) rating is 128 off the white tees. (Slopes range between 55 and 155, with 113 being average.)

“You definitely need a full set [of clubs]. The course is challenging, surprising, technical and, at times, downright tricky,” says Robert English in "Scottish Club Golfer" Magazine. » Read the whole article.

Book a tee time

Golf members are allowed to play free but you must book a tee time. Contact Reception (dial 9). To pre-book prior to your arrival, call (+33 or 0) 5 65 27 56 00. From the UK dial 0871 780 1444.

The course opens at 8.00 am in the summer and 9.00 a.m. in winter (Oct - Mar) to allow greenkeepers time to prepare the greens before the early starters.

  • Owners are particularly requested not to go on the course without booking a tee time or checking in at Reception. The pro conducts playing lessons on the course and the Golf Association stages competitions and roll-ups. You are welcome to join in, but please sign up first!

  • Please start only on the 1st tee, not on the tee nearest your lodge.

Marshalling

marshallMarshals monitor the golf course at random times from early morning until evening. Focus is on stopping people playing without paying their green fee, preventing slow play, enforcing the dress code, keeping buggies off greens (!), and listening to constructive suggestions from players. Keep an eye out for David Bowerman. (Don't know David? Click the image to get a glimpse.)

Etiquette

Please respect the dress code. Shirts must be worn in the clubhouse, restaurant, and on the golf course, putting green and practice area.

The course is strictly out of bounds except for players who have a green card or a maximum handicap of 54 and who are up to date with their annual membership or have paid the relevant green fee. It is very dangerous to allow children to play or guests to walk on the course.

Children under 14 who wish to play must be accompanied by an adult.

Please avoid slow play at all times. Any players holding up following groups may be requested to skip a hole.
