Cougnaguet
websiteMoulin fortifié de Cougnaguet

This mill, situated in one of the most charming spots of the Lot, used to be a bank, a fortress and a mill at the same time. It took 4 generations to build and it is still in good working order, although nowadays only for tourist purposes.

Let friendly guide Hubert take you into the past. Hubert tells you all about it with lots of enthusiasm, and if you’re lucky, you’ll end the visit in front of the fireplace ‘faire le canard’ (drinking eau de vie with a sugar cube) and munching some walnuts. Unforgettable! (Hubert does not speak English, but printed information is available in English.)
